when i grow up...

I've been pushing myself harder than I have my entire life. Pushing myself to be a better mom, a better wife all while trying to follow my dreams. There are times it's just hard... to do it all... to be all to everyone. I look at the journey ahead of me and I know it's there and I know I'll get there... it's no longer a question of "if" - it's "when". Sacrifices will be made. The dishes will not get done. The DVR will reach 100% capacity. I will lose sleep at night. But I'll get there.....

Because she's watching....

Although my time is sometimes borrowed for other families, when I am here, I am present.

and we love to make homemade pizza

Tonight at dinner, she say's to me "when I grow up, I'm going to get a job. I'm going to be a photographer"

p.s. All photos taken with my phone.

The tent has been built!

Since I joined Pinterest, I see all kinds of tents for little girls and I had been trying to figure out how to make one for Kaili without tearing up my walls/ceilings with nails and hooks. Duh... PVC pipes! And only $1.20 per piece! A Tepee was built within a few minutes and I just love how it turned out. There are still finishing touches to add... a few more sparkles... some lights... and some pretty pillows. We'll also be adding little battery operated flashlights to create a chandelier hanging from the top. It's going to be fabulous! undefined

One Simple Ingredient

I’m writing this post as a plea for my sisters and friends to step out of their comfort zone and find the creativity that is living and breathing deep down within them. I have been asked soooo many times – how in the world can I manage my day job with my photography job. The answer is simple – the photography “job” is not a job to me, it is my late night TV special, my midnight chocolate fix, the smile that spreads across my face when I get “that shot”. This year, I have set such huge, gigantic goals for myself and the growth of my love of photography and I know without a shadow of a doubt I will reach my goals because of one simple ingredient, I love what I do. Start asking yourself, what are you crazy in love with?

I found these stories inspirational and I know you will too! Click here and here.

My little one's goal, is to reach 200!

What's your goal?
