One Simple Ingredient

I’m writing this post as a plea for my sisters and friends to step out of their comfort zone and find the creativity that is living and breathing deep down within them. I have been asked soooo many times – how in the world can I manage my day job with my photography job. The answer is simple – the photography “job” is not a job to me, it is my late night TV special, my midnight chocolate fix, the smile that spreads across my face when I get “that shot”. This year, I have set such huge, gigantic goals for myself and the growth of my love of photography and I know without a shadow of a doubt I will reach my goals because of one simple ingredient, I love what I do. Start asking yourself, what are you crazy in love with?

I found these stories inspirational and I know you will too! Click here and here.

My little one's goal, is to reach 200!

What's your goal?

Another one leaves the nest

As our home quiets down with the kids getting older we prepare for another one leaving the nest. Nate will be graduating next month. I met Nate 7 years ago while I was dating his father (now husband). I was so nervous the day of the "introduction" barbecue, but within the hour the kids were running around the house laughing hysterically as if they had known each other since birth. At that moment, they became brothers and sister.

The first summer we all lived as one - we spent almost every weekend at the beach. Often times, Bill took Branden and Nate out body surfing while Noelle and I played in the crashing waves.

Congratulations Nate! It was a lot fun taking these portraits of you! I look forward to watching you grow into the man you are meant to be. We are so proud of you!!

A wardrobe + Pinterest

I have been hooked on http://pinterest.com/! An absolute dream for someone like myself who lives off visual inspiration and has been making vision boards for almost 10 years. Pinterest is likely to turn me into a Vision Board junkie! :) So when I was asked by a client for some clothing suggestions...I immediately went to Pinterest and found a couple of wardrobe collections to suggest.

For you Stephanie:
