One of my resolutions this year is to take "candid" photos of my family with my camera and not just my phone. I have fallen in love with photography and it absolutely thrills me when clients tell me how much they love their photos. But when it came time to print photos for my wall, my inventory fell short. I had thousands (no joke) of iPhone photos but barely any taken with my Nikon. iPhone photos will do in a pinch... but.... when I own the gear, I might as well use it! This photo was taken months ago but every time I look at it, my heart softens. It will soon be in a frame on the wall where it belongs.

Meeting new families always makes me a little nervous. Wondering if we'll click... if the kids will like me and hoping things go smoothly. These boys were fantastic! They absolutely love each other and as you can see we nailed the shot in the first five minutes :).

To make things even better, I get this little one to do a little "rawr" dance for me. ;)

Seriously! How cute is he? For some reason I really want to take a nap.
