I started out this year without any resolutions, after all resolutions were meant to be broken as they say. I knew what I needed to do and I don’t need a resolution to remind me of that. I kind of know what I generally want in life and a resolution will certainly not guarantee I will get there. Then I read an article that stirred something in me…
You must define where you want to go in life; it’s not a guarantee you will reach your goals or achieve your dreams, but if you don’t define them, it’s almost guaranteed that you won’t. –John Maxwell
Have I truly defined where I want to go in life? Or do I just have daydreams?
I alter everyday… some days I am super motivated and start on a million projects and a To Do list a few pages long. Then doubt sets in and I stop and think I’m not good enough. Then something will stir up again and motivation will kick in with my full speed ahead attitude…. And the cycle of doubt once again creeps in. I don’t know how to stop it… I don’t know if it will ever go away. But I'd rather define where I want to go than have doubt win me over.
