A Bit of Twinkle

I moved to North County about 8 years ago and rarely venture into downtown San Diego. So when we scheduled our session at the Pedestrian bridge located near Petco Park, I was super excited! SOOOO stoked for the new location. But if anyone knows me... even with the GPS fired up.... I STILL managed to get lost! Eventually the bridge and I came face to face and all was forgiven. We met up for our mother/daughter/sister session with a cameo from Grandpa and had such a good time. Ladies you are gorgeous! and Grandpa... that twinkle in your eye tells me you are one proud man.

Here is just a peek into our day.

The New Kid

Meet this kid, he's new to me for the Stories of Autism awareness project and the last of the families to be posted. I spoke with his mom that morning worried about the rain and thinking we should reschedule but she convinced me it would be fine. Their home had windows, windows, windows everywhere, yep we will be fine. His parents were extremely gracious and the entire family greeted me with such positive energy that I felt as if I'd known them forever. We sat and chatted so easily and effortlessly that I nearly forgotten I was there for a session. We went around their beautiful home and took photos in a few different rooms chatting about life and before I knew it... our hour was up.

I'm so glad we were able to meet and I hope to meet you again soon.

This Boy

If it wasn't for his Mom and for him I would have never met the families I met through the Stories of Autism awareness project. What started as an email asking if she was interested turned into so much more and I am so grateful. See his last session here and to make the deal even sweeter, one of his photos was chosen as Directors Choice. I have known this little guy for a couple of years and every time I see him, he greets me with this smile - this huge infectious smile. It took a bit of work to get his smile this time around - but I was patient and I knew... he couldn't resist smiling... especially after I begged :)
