A friend had introduced me to fried plantains and the second I tried it, I was reminded of my grandmother -- she use to fry these bad boys up and sprinkle them with sugar. Those were the days were a snack was something from our backyard not... from a bag or from a convenience store. Ahh... island life. This version is sprinkled with salt and a bit of avocado on the side.
